Discover your inner choreographer in this vibrant and fun class where you can explore movement generating tools and methods for choreographic endeavors or just move your body for fun!

In this class, participants will move through guided improv, movement tasks, games and journaling that brings everyone in space into a collaborative dance creation.

Please note: Your registration fee covers administrative costs associated with our workshops. There are no refunds to your registration if you are unable to attend.

Rachel Catalano

Rachel Catalano (she/her) is a dancer, choreographer, educator based in Southern California. Her work mixes rigorous physicality, music and screen dance in collaboration with other artists.  She is currently a teaching artist for The Old Globe and Malashock Dance and where she teaches, choreographs, and directs the junior company. Along with her 18+ years in education, Rachel has appeared in commercials, music videos, and live performances for major companies such as Audio Technica and artists such Jason Mraz. Rachel is the founder and artistic director of the contemporary dance company, Fresh Congress, producing shows that incorporate video with live dance. She is passionate about connection and is endlessly curious about finding and/or creating spaces where connection is at the forefront.
