ABOUT: The Old Globe tours a professional theatre production around community partners in San Diego and Tijuana for free performances, workshops, talkbacks, and catered meals. Since the program’s inception in 2014, approximately 15,900 community members have experienced a Globe for All Tour. Performed free of charge in non-theatrical venues such as gymnasiums, cafeterias, shelters, senior centers, refugee community centers, military installations, and correctional facilities, these productions give audiences an intimate and compelling theatrical experience that fosters a shared sense of connection between performers and audiences. The majority of attendees face barriers to accessing professional performing arts and often experience live theatre for the very first time.

SEEKING: Union and Non-Union Actors of all ethnicities, gender identities, and physical abilities who are local to San Diego, and available October 4-November 24 to play various roles. Strong proficiency or fluency in Spanish is highly desired. Roles will be paid. Actors must be able to provide proof of local residency. Please note: Globe For All is a touring production and actors may be asked to spend over 2 hours one-way in a shared vehicle driving to the performance venue.

PREPARATION: Please prepare a two minute monologue from any of Shakespeare’s work. Optional: in addition, please prepare a brief song acapella or by accompanying yourself with any instruments you play. An accompanist will not be provided.

Actors are hired on a show-by-show basis during the season and auditions for individual shows are by invitation only.
