Who Family and Child/Teen Ensemble - October 16, 2024
1st Preview: November 6, 2024
Opening Night: November 10, 2024
Closing Night: December 29, 2024
Performances: All children are double cast and will perform approximately five to six times per week, including several weekday mornings matinees
Salary: All children will be paid $16.85 per hour, regardless of role

Eligibility: All auditioning must be residents within San Diego County. Children cannot be members of Actors’ Equity. In order to be considered for the role of Cindy-Lou, your child must be between 6-10 years old, no taller than 50” and weigh no more than 55 lbs. In order to be considered for Who Family and Child Ensemble, your child must be between ages 6-12, no taller than 60” and weigh no more than 100lbs. In order to be considered for Teen Ensemble, your child must be between ages 13-15, no taller than 65” and weigh no more than 125lbs. These terms are non-negotiable.

Audition Info: Once we’ve determined that your child meets all the criteria, and there is space available, you will be contacted via e-mail (starting mid-June) with audition details. Please remember to include a valid e-mail address with your submission. The deadline to submit is Friday, July 26, 2024.

COVID Safety: A written copy of The Old Globe's COVID-19 policies and procedures will be provided on the first day of rehearsal. All participants in Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas! will be expected to comply by The Old Globe's COVID-19 policies and procedures.

Special Note: The rehearsal and performance schedule requires that your child miss time from school (amount of time varies according to the role), however, most rehearsals do not interfere with class schedules. We will have a studio teacher present to help children keep up with class work, but please only submit your child for an audition if you and your child’s school are amenable to absences during rehearsals and performances.
