Copley Plaza at The Old Globe
Hundreds of San Diego families will enjoy the family-friendly and supportive environment for children and adults on the autism spectrum and with other special needs, along with local San Diego support organizations. Families can experience art and entertainment together in a safe and fun way, an experience that isn’t always easy to come by.
A pre-show acoustic concert featuring award-winning PigPen Theatre Co., who last performed at The Old Globe in The Old Man and The Old Moon in 2017.
As well as puppet mouse making with fun and interactive materials hosted by actor and teacher Samantha Ginn. This event coincides with the sensory-friendly performance of The Tale of Despereaux at 12:00 noon. For tickets to this production, specially designed for those on the autism spectrum and other special needs, call our Ticket Office at (619) 234-5623.
Despereaux will be performed for children on the autism spectrum and their families, as well as for other families with special needs that may appreciate the welcoming and supportive environment this performance provides.
10:15 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.: Pre-show acoustic concert with PigPen Theatre Co.
11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon: Fun puppet-mouse making hosted by actor and teacher Samantha Ginn
12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m.: Sensory-friendly presentation of The Tale of Despereaux
