Wheelchair Accessible Seating

Wheelchair accessible seating is available in all three of our theatres. Please contact Ticket Services at (619) 23-GLOBE (234-5623) to review your options.

Hearing Assistance

For the convenience of our hard of hearing and hearing-impaired patrons, The Old Globe has an Assistive Listening System in all three theatres. A limited number of lightweight headsets, as well as induction neck loops, may be obtained from the house manager prior to performances.

Service Animals

The Old Globe welcomes ADA-recognized service animals specifically trained to perform tasks for the benefit of patrons with disabilities including physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, PTSD, or any other mental disability. Please contact Ticket Services to ensure there is a place to accommodate your service animal at your ticketed seat location.

A service animal must not cause a disruption in public and must be under the handler’s control at all times. Should the animal create any disturbance to surrounding patrons, the owner and animal may either be moved to another location or be asked to leave the venue.

Pets, Emotional Support (ESD), Therapy, or Comfort Animals do not qualify as Service Animals under the Federal guideline protections and are not permitted inside our venues.

Relaxed and Sensory-Friendly Programming

The Old Globe offers relaxed and sensory-friendly programming for those who may benefit from a more supportive environment, including individuals with autism and audience members with sensory sensitivities. Current offerings include a select performance of Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas! as well as a designated date and location for Globe for All. Dates will be listed below and announced at a later date.

Open-Caption Performances

Open captioning is live text displayed simultaneously to the performance and does not require the user to have any special equipment for viewing the text. To purchase tickets within view of the captioning screen, click the show titles below or contact our Ticket Services Department at (619) 23-GLOBE (234-5623) or Tickets@TheOldGlobe.org. Tickets for open-captioned performances go on sale on the single-ticket on-sale date and are subject to availability.
