These limited opportunities only come around once a year! $500: Experience a Seuss Musical ‘Sitzprobe,’ the First Rehearsal with an Orchestra

A one-of-a-kind experience for music lovers. Attend the sitzprobe for a Seuss musical – the first rehearsal where the singers and musicians are integrated. Watch the director, actors, conductor, and orchestra bring the magic together for either Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas! in late October 2017 or Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax in late June 2018 (dates TBA).

$500: Create Set Pieces with Crew Members at the Globe’s Technical Center

Build Set

Travel far behind the curtain, all the way to the Globe’s Technical Center in Southeast San Diego! Join the set crew in helping build or paint set pieces for one of the Globe’s fabulous productions – and later see your handiwork displayed on our stage! You will also enjoy a tour of the Globe’s scene shop and extensive costume and prop storage warehouse.

$1,000: Join the Crew Backstage During a Performance in the 2017-18 Season

Spend an entire performance shadowing a crew member backstage during the 2017-18 season. Watch as an elaborate Globe staging unfolds from behind the curtain to create the theatrical magic you see from your seats in the house.

Looking for a unique way to treat your loved one? Birthday, anniversary, graduation, engagement – celebrate any special occasion with a pair of luxury tickets to the Globe production of your choice. Your premier package begins with complimentary valet service and includes pre-show access to the VIP Lipinsky Family Suite. You will be treated to a champagne toast and recognition of your special occasion by way of a personalized message or slideshow on our flat screen television. Another special treat – chocolates, roses, or similar gift corresponding to your celebration – will be waiting at your theatre seats when the show starts. During intermission, enjoy complimentary drinks in the Suite or at Lady Carolyn’s Pub. The perfect way to celebrate a special night in Balboa Park!

See inside the Globe's renowned costume shop and extensive “shoe closet” as you enjoy an afternoon learning what it takes to create our costumes – from idea to sketch to final fitting and performance – all through the eyes of two women who make it all happen: Costume Director Stacy Sutton and Associate Costume Designer Charlotte Devaux. Follow up this priceless opportunity with a catered lunch with Charlotte in the Globe’s Lipinsky Family Suite.

$5,000: Adult or Child Walk-On Role in Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

The perfect holiday gift, this package provides one lucky adult or child an exciting opportunity to shine on stage in a walk-on role during this year's Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, which celebrates its landmark 20th year of production at the Globe this winter. Enjoy a full set of activities around a performance of San Diego's beloved holiday classic, including four complimentary VIP tickets to the show, rehearsal with the cast, a personal costume fitting, photos with cast members, and your moment in the spotlight!

Two available. Walk-on actor must be age 9 or older and available in advance for a costume fitting. Must attend a scheduled rehearsal (possibly earlier on the day of the walk-on) and follow instructions of stage manager and staff. Walk-on date is subject to ticket and crew availability in November. Join Old Globe Associate Artistic Director Eric Keen-Louie during the National Association of Musical Theatre’s 29th Annual Festival of New Musicals, taking place in New York City on October 17 & 18, 2017. This two-day package includes an industry-exclusive event, shortened presentations of eight new musicals, and a songwriter’s showcase and reception. Lunch with Eric is included, and two complimentary VIP tickets to a Broadway show will be coordinated to coincide with this trip.

With your generous sponsorship, a group of kids from one of the Globe’s partner organizations will have a carefree day at the Globe, enjoying an exclusive Seussian meal prior to a performance of Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (in November/December 2017). They will also enjoy a visit from the Grinch and children's activities. You are welcome to join in the fun and celebrate the winter or summer season with an enthralled group of children!
