Globe Experiences turn your donation to The Old Globe into an exclusive, exciting theatre adventure that takes you or a lucky recipient “behind the curtain” with our actors, artists, and crew. These limited opportunities only come around once a year! Travel far behind the curtain, all the way to the Globe’s Technical Center in Southeast San Diego! Join the set crew in helping build or paint set pieces for one of the Globe’s fabulous productions—and later see your handiwork displayed on our stage! You will also enjoy a tour of the Globe’s scene shop and extensive costume and prop storage warehouse.

Spend an entire performance shadowing a crew member backstage during the 2018–2019 Season. Watch as an elaborate Globe staging unfolds from behind the curtain to create the theatrical magic you see from your seat in the house.
Three available. For one person each. Valid during the 2018–2019 Winter Season. Subject to availability. Fair market value is priceless.
Fancy a little fencing? Treat yourself or someone you know to a private lesson in the art of stage fighting with a Globe fight choreographer. You’ll learn the basics of footwork and weapon wielding and may even come away with a fight routine of your own! Best of all, you will get to take home your very own stage sword from the Globe props reserve. Use it wisely!

The perfect holiday gift, this package provides one lucky adult or child an exciting opportunity to shine on stage in a walk-on role during this year's Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, which celebrates its landmark 21st year of production at the Globe this winter. Enjoy a full set of activities around a performance of San Diego's beloved holiday classic, including four complimentary VIP tickets to the show, rehearsal with the cast, a personal costume fitting, photos with cast members, and your moment in the spotlight!
Two available. Walk-on role for one person each, plus four tickets each. Walk-on actor must be age 9 or older and available in advance for a costume fitting. Must attend a scheduled rehearsal (possibly earlier on the day of the walk-on) and follow instructions of stage manager and staff. Walk-on date is subject to ticket and crew availability in November. Fair-market value is $450.
Own a piece of the Globe forever! You will select a beautifully handcrafted costume from a collection curated by our professional costume staff. From the Globe stage to your home, our staff will personally install a gorgeous display in your home. Be the envy of your guests when they see a beautiful Globe costume as your newest piece of home décor.
One available. Choose from several preselected costumes that have been featured in Globe productions. Fair market value is $250.
Enjoy a three-hour sail aboard the Stars and Stripes, USA-11 from the 1992 America’s Cup races! Bring aboard up to nine guests and celebrate a perfect day out on the water while enjoying the company of Globe artists and our fantastic students in The Old Globe/USD Shiley Graduate Theatre Program. Take the helm, grind the winches, or just sit back and enjoy the ride as you zip around San Diego Bay. Refreshments provided. Donated by Mark Niblack.

Join Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director Barry Edelstein and two Globe actors from the 2018–2019 Season for a lighthearted outing at a Monday-night Padres game. You and up to 15 guests will enjoy admission to a private box at Petco Park with food and beverage, all underwritten by Sheryl and Harvey White. Ten parking passes included. Take me out to the ballgame!
One available. For up to 16 people. To take place on a Monday night in the 2019 baseball season mutually agreed upon with San Diego Padres management. Fair market value is $5,000.
In addition to providing performance tickets to 24 military service members and family members, you will be our guest at the opening night dinner for Looking for Christmas: The New Clint Black Christmas Musical, which will be attended by Mr. Black himself. The opening night celebration is on Tuesday, November 20, 2018—two tickets to the performance immediately following dinner are included!

Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director Barry Edelstein is one of the nation’s leading authorities on Shakespeare and has made an incredible impact at the Globe during his tenure, directing impressive productions such as Rain, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Hamlet,and The Wanderers; introducing the transformative Globe for All program; and bringing artists such as Blair Underwood, Jenna Fischer, Steve Martin, Hal Linden, Justin Long, and Ken Ludwig to San Diego.

Enjoy a private dinner for 30 on the mainstage of the world-renowned Old Globe Theatre. Treat your party to a night to remember with a three-course seated dinner on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage of the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. A one-time-only performance by a Globe artist is included! Catering by the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine, complimentary valet parking for your guests, live music, and thematic linens and florals all add up to an evening you’ll never forget.
One available. For 30 people. Catering, wine, floral, and rental credit of $6,000. Donor may upgrade and cover additional expense. Subject to theatre availability. Fair market value is $7,500.
