Making Theatre in a Hybrid World

June 12

Making Theatre in a Hybrid World

Summary

Making Theatre in a Hybrid World

June 12, 2021, 10:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. PT

Must register by Thursday, June 10 to receive Zoom Link.

We can all attest that the pandemic has been rough on live theatre, but artists like James Vásquez have remained creative and committed. As the dust settles and we prepare for reopening, we are also embracing that some aspects of virtual theatre could be here to stay. Join director James Vásquez and facilitator Catherine Hanna Schrock in an experiential virtual workshop to explore this new transitioning phase of online theatre destined for the stage. We will discuss ways to utilize virtual spaces in casting, pre-production, and rehearsal, even as we plan to once again share precious space together in live theatre. As both Vásquez and Schrock are passionate about audience engagement, they will look to participants to bring the ideas in the workshop to life. Join us on Saturday, June 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

This event is free and will be a private-hosted workshop on Zoom. Participants must register. Class size is limited as this will be hands-on practicum event.
