Globe Learning: Reflections on the Year through Playback Theatre

Summary

Reflections on the Year through Playback Theatre

December 17, 2022, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. PT
Festival Rehearsal Hall, House of Charm
Balboa Park

Join us for a playful and nourishing morning as we engage in storytelling, embodiment, and reflection all through the inclusive lens of Playback Theatre. Are there life moments and stories from the year that you want to elevate or celebrate in a safe and thoughtful environment?

Playback Theatre is a unique improvisational form that invites audiences to tell stories from their lives, then watch them enacted on the spot by an acting ensemble. During this workshop participants will learn about Playback Theatre and practice playing within various Playback forms as both storyteller and player. This workshop is designed to welcome both actors and non-actors alike and invites participants to engage as they are comfortable. Together we'll take part in a safe and brave journey inspired by the real moments of our lives. Most importantly you will leave feeling like a connected community member.

This workshop promises to be a gentle and powerful way to mark the last month of 2022.
