Arts Engagement Juneteenth Community Choir

Arts Engagement Juneteenth Community Choir

The Old Globe’s Arts Engagement Department is seeking to cast 15–20 volunteer community members who are interested in joining a non-denominational choir for our upcoming Juneteenth performance events (performance dates include June 19, 21, and 22; rehearsals dates TBA). We are currently seeking:

  • Sopranos (ages 18+)
  • Altos (ages 18+)
  • Tenors (ages 18+)
  • Basses (ages 18+)

Other preferences include:

  • Prior experience with choral music (though we are open to all singers).
  • Can commit to meeting on most Saturday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, from mid-May 2019 to June 2019, along with some evening availability.

If selected, participants will receive small travel stipends for their roles in the Juneteenth performance events, as well as for any future performance events scheduled with the Arts Engagement Community Choir.

If you are interested in being considered for this opportunity, please email a photo/headshot and a little information on your history with vocal music and why you’d like to join this chorus to Arts Engagement Programs Manager Katherine Harroff at kharroff@TheOldGlobe.org, who will be scheduling auditions.
