As a not-for-profit institution, The Old Globe relies on generous donors who help us make theatre that matters. Box office sales cover only a portion of the expenses associated with running our renowned costume, scene, props, lighting, and sound departments.
Theater matters.
At The Old Globe, we believe this with all of our hearts.
It’s why we offer opportunities for students, military, inmates, and countless other community members to experience transformative stories for free through Globe for All, student matinees, and more.
All told, over 37,000 San Diegans enjoy free theatre, workshops, and family events each year.
It’s why we do what we do—because theatre matters to people from all walks of life and all parts of San Diego.
