Executive Assistant

The Old Globe in San Diego, the sixth largest not-for-profit theatre in the country, seeks highly-skilled applicants for Executive Assistant reporting to the CEO/Executive Producer. Candidates must have extensive experience in heavy calendaring and travel arrangement with a minimum of five years experience as an assistant to a top-level executive. Experience in performing arts or entertainment industries a plus. Candidates must have superb multi-tasking and computer skills to work in this fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must exhibit sound judgment, professionalism and skill working with diverse group. Compensation commensurate with experience; fulltime, benefited position. Design Assistant

The Old Globe seeks a Design Assistant with a strong background in technical theatre.  The Design Assistant facilitates design communication between various departments, assists scenic designers, draws detail, builds models, and attends all tech and dress rehearsals and previews.  Must be fluent in AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Photoshop, and Illustrator programs.  Must have design skills, model-making skills, and knowledge of period styles.  BA in Scenic Design or equivalent experience required.  Must be available for overtime as needed and evening and weekend work.  This is a fulltime position with benefits. Starts September.  Salary is commensurate with experience. Ticket Services Supervisor/Training Coordinator

The Old Globe seeks a Ticket Services Supervisor/Training Coordinator.  Responsible for training and supervising all Ticket Services Representatives on ticketing systems, ticket office procedures and customer service standards.  Supervisory and training experience is required. Properties Artisans/Assistants

The Old Globe Theatre is seeking qualified applicants for the 2008 summer festival season. The positions run through mid-September. In that period we will mount seven productions including three Shakespeare productions in rolling repertory. We are looking for strong finish carpenters and artisans with, welding, softgoods, and painting skills. We are also looking for properties assts. These positions involve taking notes at meetings and rehearsals as well as craft/shopping duties. The theatre is situated in Balboa Park in beautiful San Diego, CA where surfing doesn't always involve a computer. Subscription Sales Representatives

The Old Globe Theatre seeks experienced Sales Callers with positive attitudes to make outbound subscription sales calls. Love of the arts a plus. Hourly base plus commission, nightly cash bonuses, and comp tickets. Sunday through Thursday evenings, 5:30pm to 9pm and Saturday mornings, 9:30am to 1:00pm. Minimum five shifts per week required.
