Assistant Technical Director
The Old Globe, San Diego’s largest regional theatre, seeks candidates for full-time Assistant Technical Director. Responsibilities include drafting (AutoCAD), engineering, technical design and project management. ATD will work with TD and Associate TD to design and plan scenery construction and automation. Candidates should have extensive knowledge of scenery construction, scenery mechanics and controls, and structural design. A high-degree of skill in AutoCAD is required. The Old Globe produces 14-productions each year in three theatres, which typically include two enhanced pre-Broadway musicals. The scene shop is a fully equipped 14,000-square foot facility with CNC router capabilities and extensive metal-working capacity. Please provide drafting samples with your submission. Public Relations Associate
The Old Globe is seeking an individual to work with the Public Relations Director in all PR-related activities for one of the country's leading professional theatres. Ideal candidate will have excellent writing, proofreading and administrative skills; experience with Dreamweaver, Photoshop and video editing software; and be familiar with social media. Candidate must be able to multitask in a fast-moving environment, be a self-starter and have great initiative. Qualifications include a BA or equivalent or 1-3 years PR-related experience and/or training; flexible schedule allowing for evening and weekend events; theatre or arts-related background a plus. Subscription Sales Representatives
The Old Globe Theatre seeks experienced Sales Callers with positive attitudes to make outbound subscription sales calls. Love of the arts a plus. Hourly base plus commission, nightly cash bonuses, and comp tickets. Sunday through Thursday evenings, 5:30pm to 9pm and Saturday mornings, 9:30am to 1:00pm. Minimum five shifts per week required.
